Biography: Howat spent time in a variety of junior leagues across North America prior to landing at Northern Michigan, playing for Grant Potulny’s Wildcats in the WCHA. Howat did not play as a freshman at NMU, though, after long time goaltender Atte Tolvanen departs he should see more ice.
Howat played in the USHL / NAHL before heading west to the BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League, Canada Junior “A”).
